Some of the world's best cricket players hope to restore cricket's integrity during this month's Airtel Champions League T 20 tournament. The sport was rocked again recently with allegations of spot fixing involving the Pakistan national side.

Ten franchises from five countries are in South Africa for the event. South Africa will be represented by the Eastern Cape Warriors and Highveld Lions, who are all chasing the first prize of R17.5 million.

With big money at stake, attention has turned to the match fixing scandal currently making headlines and the impact and influence it will have on upcoming tournaments.

Warriors player, Mark Boucher says: "It is not great in the game and hopefully the ICC will stamp it out once and for all. It does raise its head now and again which is unfortunate."

The Warriors who will play hard, but honest cricket, hope that playing at home will be to their advantage. Warriors Captain, David Jacobs says: "We play all our cricket here we know what the pitch is like, the outfield conditions, what wind is blowing and what the ball is going to do."

The tournament starts on Friday.
